Brown Bros. Agencies Ltd. is a leader in Property Management in Greater Victoria with the management of over 5,500 units. Our services include the management of apartments, condominiums, residential and commercial properties, supplying maintenance to our properties, hiring staff and arranging contracts.


Management of Property involves many and often troublesome details that consume valuable time and energy on the part of the owner. We can help by hiring building managers, collecting rents, searching for new tenants, paying expenses, negotiated bulk purchases for waste and recycling, elevator maintenance and insurance.

Property Management Services provided for Apartment Buildings, Houses, Duplexes and Single Condo Units:

  • Advertise the property under our Company logo in the local newspaper and our website.
  • Show perspective tenants through the property.
  • Fill out rental agreements, and/or lease agreements on behalf of the owner.
  • Screen all prospective tenants.
  • Obtain employment, previous landlord and credit checks.
  • Collect the security deposit and/or rental deposit prior to a tenancy and thereafter collect the monthly rent.
  • Submit a monthly Income and Expense statement along with copies of invoices to the owner on a monthly basis.
  • Supervise repairs to the property and advise the owner of any necessary maintenance or repairs if required.
  • 24 hour emergency call service.
  • Our fee is based on the collected rent per month (minimum $150.00), subject to viewing the property, plus the cost of advertising and credit checks.

One Time Only Management Services (tenant placement only)

  • Advertise the property under our company logo in the local newspaper and our website.
  • Show perspective tenants through the property.
  • Screen all prospective tenants.
  • Obtain employment, previous landlord and credit checks.
  • Fill out rental agreement and/or lease agreement on behalf of the owner.
  • Collect the security deposit and/or rental deposit prior to the tenancy.
  • Our fee is 1/2 of the negotiated rent for the 1st month, subject to viewing the property, plus the cost of advertising and credit checks.
  • We require the owner to establish a refundable operating reserve in the amount of $500.00, in the event that the property is vacant to cover the costs of advertising and credit checks.
